well, we didnt get that high, but 60's are nothing to complain about....and yeah, with weather this nice a few days talking about it is well worth it!

We did, it was great! Then it dipped back down to low 50's, upper 40's... Oh well. I enjoyed my one day!

been a nice week---too nice to be inside posting

watched the weather this morning and they have the S word in the forecast again

...though I doubt it will stick if it does happen.

had some nice breaded chicken fillets last night (japanese katsu)...and made some omuletoraisu (omelet rice) last night--got a new japanese cookbook

It was really nice Monday. Then just been okay. Nothing super warm since... And it rained yesterday.

Was supposed to be 60 today, but we didn't even hit 50. Very sad...

They are calling for that for us Monday morning... Do not want at all!

I had pizza cause I had conferences until 8pm last night.

Love katsu... especially pork. Always wanted to try omurice.

Raining here like crazy lately. We had a few nice days then back to rain. So wet and muddy everywhere.

hubby likes the pork katsu, I am not a pork fan (will do canadian bacon..eh occasionally, but otherwise would rather have something else)....so chicken was what we used (have them in our freezer). Turned out pretty good for our first attempt (and dammmn tasty too).
The omelets...well, I had all the ingredients (ok no peas--the ones I USED to get seem to not be available anywhere even though birdseye says they are----)...and well, it tasted good

but the plating...well,....needs lots of work

think hubby has dinner duty tonight---he was thinking pancakes

we were supposed to get into the 50's today, but alas I think we made it to 48....still MUCH nicer than it has been.

I had leftover pineapple chicken last night. Maybe tonight having some leftover pulled pork. Yum yum.

Not supposed to be to warm the next couple days but at least they took out the S word from our forecast!

had some lox for dinner (had a big sandwich for lunch so that was fine).

they have not removed the S word from our forecast and now they are saying accumulation!

Guess I know why the snowman was smiling.

was nice again today, got some errands done and fixed the weather striping on the car door (it had come loose and hubby couldnt figure out how to fix it--took me about 2 minutes--and I fixed it, though I think we need to put some grommet thingies on the holes so they dont come off again).

Bummer on that point cosy. We are still just due for some rain.

My car is at my parents house. I have the minivan so I can take stuff up to our new apartment this weekend. Get to drive in "style" this week. lol

spring break?
if you are headed up north---its supposed to start late this evening--thru monday and the temps are supposed to be cold enough for it to stick for a day (wednesday is supposed to be warm again).

I don't get a spring break... I'm headed up this Friday but it is my parents mini-van and I was at their place yesterday. So I left my car there and brought the min-van home for the week. My "spring break" is the Friday before and the Monday after Easter. That's it... I'll head up Friday after work.

well that sucks, though my hs did the same thing (but it wasnt a public school), guess they have to make up for all those snow days some how.

made gyros for dinner last night, over cooked the meat a bit, but otherwise it was pretty good (found a store here that had the patties already made so all I had to do was cook them...should have been pretty easy, but wanted to make sure they were not underdone as the hubby doesnt like his meat rare like I do).

That really sucks. Some places in Wisconsin apparently got 15 inches of snow... No thank you. No thank you at all...

yes, we got hammered pretty good with that one

but it is mostly melted now (though they say we might get more----) supposed to sleet/rain tonight into tomorrow...

made curried scallops last night--was supposed to be an indian curry, but it didnt turn out well--wont be keeping that recipe!
mac and cheese tonight (homemade--went to the bulk store and got BIG wheels of cheese so we have lots of cheese dishes in our future!

That is what my wife said. Almost April and snow... Not cool weather!

We have been getting rain lately. Supposed to get even more tonight and tomorrow. Maybe even Thursday... Sheesh...

so I went down to my garage today and got into my corolla...and it wouldnt start

only clicked at me ....called hubby to have him jump it, but that didnt work either--had to get towed and needed to replace the battery (the tower got it started, but when he went to move it off the truck at the other end--it didnt want to start again...so the battery was not keeping a charge). so not on my list of things to do today was getting a new battery (and I started my adventure at 10am...its now 3pm and I just got home from getting the fix and then doing the 2 errands I had to --one was on the way home....so its the year of the battery, I hope the other doesnt get any ideas!

having flat bread pizzas for dinner (have the naan so might as well use it and seeing as I just got home if I were to start making the dough we would be eating at 10pm!)

Hopefully it is just the battery then and not the alternator not charging it... Battery replacement is cheap compared to a new alternator...

I've had some fun things with cars lately as well. Driving my parents beat up minivan for the week so I can take it up north this weekend. Yesterday I had to drive almost completely off the road to avoid an idiot who passed going the other direction when he didn't have enough room. That was fun. Today on my way in a deer decided to stand in the middle of my lane. I was able to brake and shift to the left a bit and ended up hitting its hindquarters. Luckily it didn't do any (more) damage to the van. I hit it on a spot where my sister had already torn off the front bumper. When I got in to work, after stopping to check for damage, I checked again. No blood, no fur, and no further damage and the van still drives fine. Thank goodness. But ya, that was fun...

Had leftovers again.

thats not good. Deer can really hurt a car (not to mention the deer).

seems to not be a good car week (we shall see if its just the battery as my corolla has had plenty of them in her life so far---this last one had been in for a few years).

pizza was good, hubby has dinner for tonight (I am planning to do nothing today
